France’s most outstanding Bigband

In his six year’s existence Le Grotorkèstre never has left France and the Bourgogne. In this period Leader Etienne Roche has formed the most outstanding regional French Bigband. The 30 musicians influenced by Theolonius Monk, Carla Bley and Gil Evans move around from City to village marketplaces and performing better each time on the rooftop stage of their bus. Their adventurous bigband sound, disciplined and chaotic, never lost its authentic flavour and local roots.
